2025 Oncology Camp 

• ONC 1 June 9* – 13 at Camp Arroyo, Livermore. *Staff Arrive for Training on June 8.

• ONC 2 July 14* – July 19 at Camp Taylor, Modesto. *Staff Arrive for Training on July 13. 

2025 SIBS (Special and Important Brothers and Sisters)  

• SIBS 1 June 15* – 20 at Camp Arroyo, Livermore. *Staff Arrive for Training on June 14.

• SIBS 2 June 30* – July 5 at Camp Taylor, Modesto. *Staff Arrive for Training on June 29. 

• SIBS 3 July 7* – July 12 at Camp Taylor, Modesto. *Staff Arrive for Training on July 6. 

2025 Family Camp

Spring Family Camp Dates

• Family Camp 1  May 9 –11  at CYO Camp, Occidental. Open only to families who are bereaved. 

• Family Camp 2  May 23 – 26  at Del Oro Camp & Conference Center, Nevada City

Fall Family Camp Dates

• Family Camp 3 August 14 – August 17 at CYO Camp, Occidental

• Family Camp 4 August 29 – September 1 at Del Oro Camp & Conference Center, Nevada City 

• Family Camp 5 September 5 – 7 at Camp Arroyo, Livermore (COVID-19 Vaccine Required. Policy listed below.)   

• Family Camp 6  September 19 – 21 at Camp Arroyo, Livermore. Open only to families with a brain tumor diagnosis.  

2025 Teens-N-Twenties Camps

•  April 25 – 27 Bereaved Teen Weekend at Okizu, Valley Springs
•  October 10 – 12 Bereaved Teen Weekend at Okizu, Valley Springs
•  October 31 – Nov 2 Teens N Twenties at Okizu, Valley Springs

2025 Single Day Picnic Events

• April 13 at Camp Arroyo in Livermore, CA
• May 3 at Private Residence in Elk Grove, CA

COVID-19 Information for Volunteers

Our medical team works hard every year to make camp as safe as possible for all our campers and volunteers. They will continue to monitor current public health issues and we will update our safety protocols as is appropriate.  

To minimize risks related to COVID-19 and other respiratory illnesses, Okizu is continuing to ask all participants to self-assess wellness and not attend events if anyone in the household or family is feeling ill. Every program will require a rapid COVID swab test to be performed in the parking area on every attendee before entering Camp. 

Vaccine Policy for Family Camp 5

To preserve Okizu’s focus on creating safe environments for our most vulnerable campers, Okizu has designated Family Camp 5, September 5 – 7 at Camp Arroyo a COVID-19 Vaccine Required Session. All family members and staff attending Family Camp 5 will be asked to submit proof of a COVID-19 Vaccine administered on or after September 21, 2024 two weeks before the camp start date.

This is the only session of camp in 2025 that will require a COVID vaccination.
