Why become an official karma for kids studio?

"Yoga teaches us how to be present in our lives. Aliveness--being present right now--is precisely the gift that Camp Okizu gives to children with life-threatening illnesses. Supporting karma for kids is a beautiful way to deepen our practice, build community among yogis, and do some extremely valuable karma yoga. It's a win for everyone, and we're honored to be a part of it."

--Phil Catalfo, Senior Editor, Yoga Journal

Become an official karma for kids Studio. Join a growing community of yogis and studio owners, bringing together all backgrounds and practices of yoga, in Northern California and beyond, who have all come together to make a direct and lasting difference in the life of a sick child.

karma for kids is a way to increase your studio’s exposure, add new practitioner’s to your studio and have your existing yogis recommit themselves to a fuller and more complete yoga practice.

      A karma for kids Studio:

  • Doesn’t pay to join the cause!
  • Gets increased exposure for your studio and yoga in general.
  • Is included in karma for kids marketing materials, press releases and selected advertisements. (Some of last year’s media include The Yoga Journal, Alice Radio 97.3, The San Francisco Chronicle and KGO-TV Channel 7).
  • Has a link to Camp Okizu and karma for kids web site.
  • Leverages an increase in interest to recruit new or reluctant members.
  • Gives beginners motivation to expand their individual practice.
  • Gives existing practitioners a reason to Intensify their current practice.
  • Has potential to increase membership at the studio.
  • Is participating in a true karma for kids Yoga event that directly benefits children with cancer.
